Quality Control
Quality of your product can more often than not, mean success or failure for a business.
Pre-shipment inspection
Pre-Shipment Inspections allow you to mitigate risk. Why take unnecessary risks with your products, your customers, your reputation, and your brand?
A Pre-Shipment Inspection, or PSI, is a quality control method to help you ensure the quality of goods you receive from suppliers.
When 100% of the units in your purchase order are complete and they are 80% packed, an inspector goes to your factory to perform a number of different checks on your products.
Pre-Production Inspection
A Pre-Production Inspection can help you, the importer, to verify whether or not raw material quality is in conformity with the contract. It will also help you verify whether production will proceed on schedule. You should consider a PPI if:
- You are working with a new supplier
- You have a large contract and critical delivery dates
- You are concerned that your supplier may be cutting corners by substituting in cheaper materials
During Production Inspection
A During Production Inspection (DUPRO) identifies product issues early in the manufacturing cycle. This inspection is conducted on-site when at least 20% of production has been completed.
One of the key benefits of DUPRO Inspections is that they enable you to take corrective action early. You’ll be able to deal with issues while your goods are still in production.
Sort Inspection
A Sort Inspection is necessary when defective units need to be separated out from your shipment due to one or more known issues. This inspection can be conducted at your factory, a distribution center, or another location.
Inspectors go through 100% of your products to separate the good units from the bad. Then, you receive a report on the results from the sort. Our inspectors are highly trained and work diligently to ensure all defective units are removed.
Loading Inspection
A Loading Inspection is conducted once production is completed and goods are ready to be loaded into a container. We’ll send an inspector to your supplier’s facility to ensure that:
- The right products are being loaded into the container
- They are loaded according to any specific loading plans
- The quantities loaded match the quantities ordered
- Packaging materials have the right barcodes and labeling
After inspection, we’ll provide you with a detailed report. If there were any issues, we’ll provide recommendations for appropriate corrective actions.
Factory Audits
A factory audit is an important quality assurance tool for importers. We send an auditor to your supplier’s (or potential supplier’s) facilities to ensure compliance with certain predetermined requirements.
While on-site at the factory, the auditor conducts a number of checks and provides a report to aid you in your supply chain decisions.
We conduct the following types of audits:
- Security (C-TPAT) Audit
- Capability Audit
- Social Compliance Audit
- Quality Audit
- Environmental Audit
